Brain Drain & Talent Corporation - A case study (Part 2)

During my research, I've read few blogs and article. Suddenly I found this quote by a father to her daughter. The father said:

My daughter who will be graduating in Masters in Geo-Chemistry this December says she wants to come home because she misses us (her parents).
I said 'No, Never' return to this racist country which will never recognize her talents.
"Go to either Singapore or Australia but never home. But if you chose to work in US then, we might one day pack up and go there to stay with you because this country is going to the dogs and there is no future for you and your children and grand-children", I told her.

Did Talent Corp realized that this kind of mindset are already took place to those parents with their kids study abroad?

Another findings which given by a friend of mine who is a Graduate Medical Degree from a University in UK stated that:

I'm disappointed with the attitude of the Medical Assistant, Staff Nurse and Admin Staff in most of the Govt. Hospital. They lack of work attitude as I experienced some kind of excuses from them. I'm the doctor here, their work is to support me. I'm not asking them to do extra works, I just want them to do what they should do. I was written in the Job Description. Some of the excuses that I've experienced are; "Syif saya dah habis. Doc tunggu la staff syif lepas ni." , "Kalau Doc nak cepat proses claim ni, Doc hantar la sendiri. Lagipun Doc kan jawatan besar. Saya ni kuli je.". During my internship practice in UK, there's no such excuses give the staff. Everything went smooth we're helping each other. Why this kind of working culture can't be implemented here? Hmm..If I had enough money, I'll open my own practice.

He later went abroad and work in Australia. I hope he end-up saving enough money and back to Malaysia to open his own practice.

Well said, those kind of excuses not just found by him at the hospital. Lots of GLC's also having those kind of attitude which became a culture nowadays. (I'm working with one of the GLC's so knew it.) This attitude mostly appear from non-executive level but don't be surprised that there are some Managers/Senior Managers in lots of GLC's are having this attitude as well.

Even with the GTP and other Transformation Plan, peoples mind are hard to change if they themselves don't want to improve. Brain Drain issues now becoming Brain Damage issues.

With this kind of attitude or so-called culture, do Talent Corp thinks that they could bring back Malaysian Talent? How would they work if they still have to face this kind of trouble?
